A camera operator we collaborate with was told by an official at the Auckland dawn service that Counterspin was not to film or LIVE stream and that Maori TV had exclusive rights to filming a public event on public land. 

Is that fair? Why can independant media not bring coverage to the people?

And you’ll notice the PM Jacinda Ardern was there, along with the leader of the opposition and the Auckland mayor. 

That was kept very quiet. Is that why they tried to dissuade people from attending?
